Ukrainian champion Oleksandr Usyk could headline a massive boxing tournament in California. The organizers plan to host the event at the Civic Center Plaza and gather a record number of spectators by making admission free for fans.

San Francisco in the USA may host a boxing show that aims for a world record in spectator attendance. Organizers plan to gather around 150,000 people at a single outdoor event.
One of the main contenders to participate in the central fight is the current heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk.
Usyk is the center of attention for the organizers
The 38-year-old Ukrainian boxer last entered the ring in July, when he defeated Daniel Dubois early in the fifth round.
Since then, Usyk has not had any new fights, but his name remains one of the most attractive for major promotional projects.
According to the Daily Mail, the Ukrainian champion’s participation is considered a key element of the upcoming show.
YouTube and the Iconic series
The project is being implemented with the participation of YouTube and will become part of the Iconic series, which the promotional company IVisit Boxing is launching in 2026. An official presentation of the event is planned for the near future.
The main fight is tentatively scheduled for July 11. The location is to be the Civic Center Plaza, which they want to transform into a large open arena with a boxing ring in front of the city hall.
Also, within the framework of the event, they plan to organize a music festival and a fan zone, and most of the tickets, according to the organizers’ plan, will be free. A live broadcast of the event is planned on YouTube.
Promoter’s statement
The head of IVisit Boxing, Ed Pereira, confirmed his interest in collaborating with the Ukrainian champion.
“Who wouldn’t want to see Usyk on their card? This is more than just a fight – we want to create a cultural event for San Francisco, California, and the whole world,” stated Pereira.
A chance to set a new record
Currently, the record for attendance at a boxing match is 135,132 spectators and was set back in 1941.
If the organizers’ plans are realized, the July show in San Francisco could surpass this figure and set a new record in the history of boxing.
Previously, Oleksandr Usyk stated that he plans to have his next fight in the summer of 2026, and his team is already working on organizing the upcoming match.
